Hello! My name is Mr. Jason Calkins and I am delighted to be your Fifth Grade teacher!
After graduating from the University of South Florida in 2007, I began teaching in Tampa, FL. I've taught 4th and 5th grade ever since and I'm thrilled to be at Apex Friendship ES for year two.
At home, I'm the lucky father of three wonderful daughters, Lily, Caroline, and Eleanor. My wife, Mrs. Stephanie Calkins, is a Kindergarten teacher here at AFES.
I look forward to a great year filled with fun, yet challenging and rigorous activities set forth by Wake County and the state of North Carolina!
