About Me

I am married to my beautiful wife, Ana, who teaches Biology at Willow Spring High School. We have two children, a son named Karston (12), and a daughter, Jillian (10). I graduated from Bowling Green State University in chilly Northwest Ohio with a degree in Language Arts and Social Studies and taught at West Cary Middle School for five years before switching to Holly Grove. I taught there for 7 years before making the jump back to a traditional calendar and coming to Mills Park. I graduated from N.C.S.U with my Masters degree in curriculum and instruction and taught 7th grade social studies before beginning this new elective. I have coached basketball and some baseball the whole time in middle and high school and college as well. I unfortunately cheer for all Cleveland professional sports teams (Cavs, Guardians and Browns), the Vancouver Canucks, Ohio State football and Syracuse basketball. When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy running, kayaking, playing and watching all sports, especially golf, baseball and basketball, but most of all, spending time with my family or camping in the mountains.
