Exploring Careers is split up into 2 quarters (a semester-long elective class for 8th graders only). The first quarter is called Exploring Personal Characteristics and Careers. The second quarter is called Exploring Careers and Employment.

In the first quarter, we will explore the answers to the following three questions:

1. How do you identify your interests, attitudes, and values?

2. How do interests, attitudes, and values affect the way people live and work?

3. How and why do we classify our interests, attitudes, and values?

In the second quarter, we will cover two main topics:

1. Understand the world-of-work and skills needed for employment success

2. Understand job search techniques
