What is the science journal?

Students complete a journal entry at the start of each class. This serves as the bellwork, or warm-up for the class period. As students enter class, the topic is already posted. Students are expected to come in, get situated, and begin the journal promptly. The entire week's journals should be completed on a single sheet of notebook paper and are turned in at the end of each week. Students who are absent are expected to make up missed journal entries.
