STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Science is all around us. Technology is part of almost every aspect of our lives. Engineering is in the buildings we live, on the roads we travel, and in causes we care about such as caring for the environment or even the environmentally-friendly technologies and tools we use daily. Mathematics is part of almost every profession, and an essential in our lives as productive citizens. As a result, STEM is an important part of every student's academic life. At MPES, we hope to enhance our students' learning by integrating problem-solving and engineering into the existing N.C. curriculum during the STEM classroom time.
