2021-2022 Special Education Information for Parents

The Special Education Services Family and Community Connections (FACC) team is excited to offer four Virtual Parent Information Sessions this spring focusing on a variety of topics including communication methods, IEP meetings, transitions and occupational therapy. The sessions will be March 24, March 31, April 7 and April 21. All will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The sessions will be recorded, and recordings will be available in English and Spanish on the Special Education Services website. Here is a flyer about the information sessions.

Case managers for the 2020-2021 school year will be contacting you during the first week of school. They may attempt contact by email, phone, or text message via Talking Points.

If you believe your student's schedule has an error related to special education services (for example, missing a CA class), please email me at dbradford@wcpss.net and I will take care of it as soon as possible.

Starting a new school year can be a challenging experience for everyone, please let us know about difficulties your student is experiencing so we can address them. Please include both the classroom teacher and the special education case manager on your emails so they can problem solve together.
