INFORMATION FOR 3rd Quarter ART CLASSES

January 2021

Martin will begin Quarter 3 on Wednesday, January 19th (Holiday and Teacher Workday Jan. 17-18th). We will provide REMOTE instruction to students IN EVERY COHORT until at least mid-February.

All Art Classes will be Foundations of Art, co-taught by Mrs. Bennett, Mrs. Fuller-Brockett and Ms. Alexander. Teachers will rotate through the classroom. Mrs. Bennett will also teach an Advanced 3-D Design class 3rd period.

You will receive a Google Class invitation in your classroom. Please accept the invite. From there, you can join our Google Meet using the link in the class' top banner. If you are having trouble joining the classroom, please email me for the Google Classroom code - mbennett3@wcpss.net.

As soon as you join, please read the information on the screen and complete any tasks posted there.

Supplies for Art Class

Many of the materials we use in art class you may already have in your home. Please follow this link to the Art Supply List and find your class to see what we will use.

Contact your grade level counselor or let me know if you will need assistance getting the supplies we are providing.

(Materials drive-thru pick up is WEDNESDAY, January 13th, from 8am-3pm in the carpool loop.)

Martin has arranged pick up times for your art class materials. All grade levels will come to campus to pick up textbooks, class materials, mural supplies and Art Supplies. I have prepared materials especially for your art class. It would be great if you could come by to pick them up! Also, pottery students can drop their greenware at school for me to fire and return to you later (Please make sure it is signed!!)

Martin's mural project is due January 20th. You will need to start painting soon after getting the project supplies (paper bags).

I miss seeing all of you, I am eager to get back to a new quarter of art-making.

INFORMATION FOR 2nd Quarter ART CLASSES

December 2020

Martin will begin Plan B with Cohort B on Monday, November 30th. I will provide LIVE instruction to student who are in the building during the first 20 minutes of each class. I will provide remote learning to the other 2 cohorts during the second half of each class period.

Mid-term reports are due this week. All current assignments through #7 are due November 22, 2020.

November 2020

Martin will begin Plan B for second quarter classes on Monday, November 9th, with Cohort C/3. I will provide LIVE instruction to student who are in the building during the first 20 minutes of each class. I will provide remote learning to the other 2 cohorts during the second half of each class period.

October 2020

Martin will begin our second quarter classes on Monday, October 26 (Teacher Workday Oct. 23)

I will invite you to my class in Google Classroom. From there, you can join our Google Meet using the link in the class top banner.
