Day 6 -San Pedro Columbia Village

"We visited a group in San Pedro Columbia Village that works with TIDE to plant trees along a river that helps to control erosion and provide fruits for people and habitats and food for animals in the area.  Everyone planted at least one tree (some planted more)  After, we helped them to prepare for their next plantings by filling the plant bags with soil.

After our work, they provided us with a delicious fresh fruit snack of pineapple, mango and papaya.  We had an opportunity to purchase handmade items from the women of the village as well."

"From there we headed to our beautiful resort, Jaguar Reef.  This was a little oasis from the hot weather, and long, busy travel days we've had so far.  It was really nice to relax and enjoy the water."
