Studio Theatre
Studio Theatre is a semester-long class. Rising 7th and 8th grade students will audition to join the Studio Theatre Players and rehearse a one-act play. The Players will also create the set, costumes, and props for their show! Student leadership opportunities include Student Director. There will also be competitions at the theatre festival.
Intro to Theatre
Learn about Theatre History, Performance, and Technical Theatre as you discover your dramatic interests!
Acting I
Begin your journey of live performance! Expect to play tons of Theatre Games and work on small group scenes.
Acting II
Continue your journey to live performance. Explore advanced acting and performance techniques though Theatre Games. Expect to tackle "The Monologue"
Technical Theatre
During this quarter-long class, students will build all props, sets, costumes, and more for the after-school musical! Students will also have the opportunity to be the backstage crew for the musical!
Costumes & Makeup
Are you interested in creating characters through costumes and special effects makeup? Sign up for this quarter-long class to delve deeper into these skills!
(This class does require the purchase of makeup material & fabric.)
Puppetry
This class will explore the important history of puppets in theatre and give students a hands-on experience in a variety of puppet performance styles.
