I’m excited for another great year at Lynn Road Elementary and proud to be starting my 17th year with Wake County Public Schools.
In my role, I focus on various programs, including:
504 Coordinator
Daybreak School-Based Counseling Coordinator
Implement School-Wide Second Step social-emotional learning curriculum
Facilitate Conscious Discipline for grades K–2
Facilitate Zones of Regulation program for Pre-K through 5th grade
Co-lead Funny Tummy lessons for 1st grade with the School Social Worker
Co-lead Check-In/Check-Out (CICO) program
Facilitate special programs including Junior Achievement, Therapy Dogs, and Stars of Honor through UNC program
Lead Student Services SSS or SISP Team (SSS PLT member)
Member of Regional Counselor PLT Group
Serve on LeaderSIP Team
Co-Lead the Behavioral Health Team
Concussion Care Coordinator
Homebound Coordinator
Member of the First Aid Team
Member of the Attendance Team
Coordinate the Character Education Program
Provide Title I information to families and staff
Serve on the BIMAS Team
Coordinate participation in the Panorama Survey
Organize and Facilitate Therapy Dog Visits

Kinder-Fifth Grade Classroom Preventative & Educational Counseling Lessons
Individual & Small Group Counseling: Available short term as preventative, educational and responsive services.
Responsive Services: Interventions for any student(s) to resolve immediate conflicts, to respond to crisis events, and to intervene in school-specific situations that disrupt learning.
System Support: Management of activities and programs that maintain and enhance the school counseling program. (Such as building staff and community relationships, serving on committees, coordinating professional development, and student support)
