Keep in Touch
I was born in Raleigh and raised in Greensboro. I moved back to Raleigh for college and graduated from Meredith College with a BA in Political Studies and Sociology. I also earned my M.Ed. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) and am a National Board Certified Teacher. This is my 18th year of teaching and my fourth year at WYWLA. In 2014, I was voted Rolesville Middle School's Teacher of the Year, and I was one of the semifinalists for WCPSS' Teacher of the Year. I was also WYWLA's Teacher of the Year in 2021. I live with my husband and dog, Frasier. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, and traveling.
