Kindergarten Orientation

Staggered Entry Week

During the first week of school, we have a staggered entry procedure for Kindergarten. Each child will attend ONLY ONE DAY between August 29th-31st. On these staggered entry days, the children will have a chance to become acquainted with all of the Kindergarten teachers and classrooms in smaller group settings. It also allows the teacher an opportunity to get to know your child better and understand their personal strengths and needs through individual assessments. Your child will visit with every Kindergarten teacher on these days.

The date for your child's staggered entry day is listed below. Again, please only send your child to school on their assigned staggered entry day.

Monday, August 29th- Last names A-F

Tuesday, August 30th- Last names G-P

Wednesday, August 31st- Last names Q-Z

Your child's class assignment will be determined after all the students have been assessed. Kindergarten teachers will reach out to each family in their classroom on Sept. 1 to formally invite you to our Meet the Teacher Event: Friday, September 2nd from 10:15am-12:30pm.

10:15-11:00- Last Names A-F

11:00-11:45- Last Names G-P

11:45-12:30- Last Names Q-Z

Kindergarten Teachers have provided a supply list for your child, posted on the school website. Students will use these items on a daily basis and it is important for your child to come prepared. However, please do not bring these items in during staggered entry. The supplies can be brought in on September 2nd at the Meet the Teacher event.
