Objective: Students will evaluate resources to determine which is best for answering the questions “What kinds of animals hatch from eggs?”. They will use a digital database (PebbleGo) to find relevant information that answers this research question, and compare ways in which their answers are alike and different from the answers of their peers.

Objective: Summarize the distinct stages of the life cycle of seed plants by creating a stop motion animation.

Duration: 4 classes, 45 minutes each
Objective: Use the eWISE process to find information about our national parks and relate that information to what students have learned about ecosystems and the organisms that depend on them.
Summary: Students will choose a national park to research, using a variety of information sources to identify organisms in the park and classify them by function, identify recreational activities provided by the park’s ecosystem, and learn more about the history of the park itself.

Summary: After reading I'm Trying to Love Garbage, students can watch a Discovery Education video about garbage and then discuss with a small group ways that common items they throw away can be reused or recycled.
