Philosophy of Education

Simply put by Albert Einstein, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” As your child’s teacher, my role is to foster a love of learning and a thrill for discovery. Education is my class will be positive, supporting, encouraging, challenging, and forgiving. I will attempt to meet your child’s academic, emotional, social, and physical needs so their greatest potential will be achieved. In the process of good teaching, I will develop and nurture trust, acceptance, and honesty in a way that my students will find comfort in understanding and learning. There are so many fragile pieces to a child’s development and I will be sensitive in providing for the multiple needs of your children. I want my students to feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, solve problems, and search for solutions. I want to struggle with your children as they search for their own ways of making sense in the world.
