Mrs. Pendergraft

K-8 Instructional Facilitator

About Mrs. Pendergraft

About: I have lived in North Carolina my entire life. I was born and raised in Hendersonville, NC. I went to East Carolina University where I received my BS and Masters degrees in Elementary Education. This year is my 19th year working at Hilburn and my 30 year in education. Throughout those years I have taught grades 2-5 and intervention in Hendersonville, Wilmington, and Raleigh.

At Hilburn I serve as the K-8 Instructional Facilitator (IF) and Testing Coordinator (TC). As IF I collaborate with the teachers and administration to bring updates and professional development of new curriculum to our teachers. At this time we are waiting on instruction from NCDPI about any testing for the 2020-2021 school year.

This past July my husband, Craig and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary. We have 3 children, Megan, Christopher, and Madison who all attended Hilburn, Martin Middle and Leesville Road HS. I enjoy traveling to the mountains in the fall to help my parents at their apple farm, Mountain Fresh Orchards. I spend most of my time helping my mom in her bakery making apple items for everyone to enjoy.

I love coming to work because of the fantastic students and staff that I get to work with daily. I miss seeing our students walking the halls each day and can't wait for all of you to return.
