Meet Mrs. Huylebroeck

Hi there!

First things first: the proper way to pronounce my last name is "hi-la-brock" :)

This is my seventh year teaching middle school science and my fourth year at MPMS! I graduated from Kennesaw State University in Georgia with a degree in Middle Grades Education specializing in science and language arts. I am a huge science fanatic. I am constantly searching for ways to incorporate a quick science lesson into casual conversation. I am very enthusiastic about science and about teaching in general! I strive to provide fun, meaningful, and interactive activities into my lessons.

I have an adorable 1.5 year old daughter named Mckenna and an adorable 4 year old pup named Digsby. You will probably get tired of hearing about them roughly two weeks into the school year.

I love to be outdoors and I love to travel to new, unique places. My personal goal is to attend as many National Parks as I can during my lifetime (the next one on my list is either New River Gorge or Shenandoah). When I'm not traveling or sharing my obsession for science with others, you can find me obsessing over my dog, baking, singing along to Disney songs or watching the latest Netflix series.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better as we progress through the school year!
