What are the Holland Codes? Holland Codes describe your personality as it relates to careers. Most people are a mix of 2–3 types.
Realistic (R) – The Doers
You enjoy hands-on work, building, fixing, using tools, or working outdoors.
Examples: mechanic, engineer, electrician, athlete.
Investigative (I) – The Thinkers
You like problem-solving, science, math, and figuring out how things work.
Examples: scientist, doctor, researcher, lab tech.
Artistic (A) – The Creators
You prefer creative expression—art, music, writing, design, or performing.
Examples: designer, writer, musician, photographer.
Social (S) – The Helpers
You enjoy working with people, supporting others, teaching, or caring for them.
Examples: teacher, counselor, nurse, social worker.
Enterprising (E) – The Leaders
You like leading, persuading, public speaking, debating, and organizing people.
Examples: business owner, manager, lawyer, sales.
Conventional (C) – The Organizers
