In 2013, I moved to Raleigh, NC and began my position at Wakefield High School. For the 2021-2022, I will be in my twelfth year of teaching.

Communication: There are four formats for parents to keep track of what the class is learning.
The first format is a my website linked to the faculty directory on the Wakefield High School website.
The second format is a group message blast to parents via Talking Points. I send weekly announcements briefly summarizing what was just completed and the learning goals for the upcoming week. The Talking Points App for parents is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The third resource is Google Classroom. You can request a limited access to the site which will allow you to see a list of assignments and due dates, along with any other information posted.
The final way is through the Talking Points app. I use this to communicate with parents and give reminders and clarifications about assignments. Parents can send me a message, similar to a text message, and I'll promptly respond during normal office hours.
