FVHS Professional Development 2020-2021

This year our professional development will focus on the continuation of previous initiatives we have embarked upon:

Building Authentic Assessments – We will examine how to build assessments that effectively measure student outcomes. This will be tied to the deconstruction of standards from last year.

Growth Mindset – We will revisit our series on having a growth mindset. More specifically, how do we adopt this mindset as professionals?

Building Relationships – We will continue to explore how to make the building of relationships with our students systemic and a chronic condition in each of our classrooms.

While a portion of our ER days will be used to engage in this learning, we also want to be empowered through continuous learning and reflection throughout the entire school year, as we all know that is where we truly develop.
