My classroom uses Capturing Kids Hearts to develop a positive classroom culture through relationship building and daily routines. The model includes a social contract, and a discipline model, and the use of class dojo to communicate with parents and to reward students for following their social contract.

My classroom has a designated area where students can go for a few minutes if they are feeling overwhelmed or just need a quick emotional break. The center has resources such as a calming ball, and posters demonstrating breathing techniques.
