The mission of the Forestville Road Library Media Program is to provide a diverse set of culturally relevant and engaging resources that will support students’ paths to college and career readiness. We also seek to provide an atmosphere that fosters a passion for reading, seeking knowledge, fun, and togetherness. Is is also our mission to integrate 21st Century skills into literacy instruction so students develop skills on how to use technology to research and enhance their educational experience.

Meet Our Media Specialist- Mrs. Washington
I am Mrs. Felecia Washington, I have been a Library Media Specialist in the Wake County Public School system since 2011. I came to Forestville Road Elementary School in June of 2023. I earned my Masters in Library Science from East Carolina University. I became National Board Certified in 2021. I am a proud mother of 5 young adults and am married to Mr. Michael Washington. Before coming to Forestville Road I worked at Dillard Drive Middle School for 6 years and Sanford Creek Elementary School for 12 years.
