Class overview
Welcome to ECS! Students will be learning reading, writing, and math using a variety of learning tools. We will be using Unique Learning System (ULS) Curriculum for Science and Social Studies. Students will also be engaged in Vocational and Social Skills. Our students will be working on their individual goals all year long. We are excited for an awesome year!
Meet the Teachers
Hi Leopards!! My name is Nicole Bova and I will be your child’s ECS teacher this school year. This will be my 6th year teaching Special Education, but my first year at MPMS! I am so excited to join the Leopard Family. My favorite things to do with my students are classroom read-alouds and life skills such as cooking! In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends and family. I am also a book worm and enjoy baking. I can’t wait to learn and grow with my students this year!

Hello everyone! My name is Erika Riley and I am joining the Mills Park Middle School ECS III team in the 2022/2023 school year. I grew up in New Hampshire and pursued a healthcare career, graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 2000 with a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy. My family and I moved to Wake County in 2015. I truly enjoy seeing the pride in a child’s face when they master a new skill! When I am not at work, you will find me hanging out with my husband and 2 kids at the beach, walking my dog, doing crafts, and eating chocolate!
