Students served follow the NC Common Core and are supported throughout the school day based on individual needs as outlined in the IEP.

About me
I am engaged to my best friend Julian. I am the proud mother of an amazing son who plays semi-professional basketball in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am from Goldsboro, NC. I moved to Wake County 1 year ago. I've been teaching Special Education for 16 years! My educational pedigree includes an AA Degree in Criminal Justice from Wayne Community College, a BS degree in Special Education from East Carolina University, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Grand Canyon University. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in Special Education. I always knew I wanted to teach since I was a little girl. My favorite part is building meaningful relationships with my students, families, and colleagues. I love being the first to see a "FIRST" A first hug, a first word, a first concept, and a first graduation! Let's have a Bright year STARS!
