We have made it to final week of the quarter. Please encourage students to finish the quarter strong. Teachers have been reminding students of due dates and all missing work Is due no later than Wednesday 9/24.

9/15:

Information regarding our PTA fundraiser will be going out this week, be on the lookout.

9/8:

Picture Day: Fall Picture Day is on Tuesday, 9/09/25. All students and staff will be photographed for the school yearbook. Students brought home a flier last week. To pay online, go to www.strawbridge.net. Click Order Pictures and enter the following code: FM471397.

This link will allow families to sign up to receive email updates about their child's school portraits after picture day. These emails are sent to announce important things like when images are ready for viewing online, when novelty items are available for purchase and when new deals and promotions are being offered.

PTA Spirit Night: Support the PTA by grabbing dinner at Brixx Pizza (1540 Dunn Rd. Raleigh, NC 27614) on Tuesday, 9/09/25. You must present the flier for our PTA to receive a donation.

PTA Spirit Wear: The DRMS PTA is taking orders for a limited edition spirit wear design! We will be placing a bulk order to keep prices low for the school community. You must order online by September 5th. All clothing ordered will be delivered to the school prior to our Q1 track out. There will not be extras available for purchase later. Please be sure to check the size charts as there will be no refunds or exchanges available. Shop the link here.

8/25-

Families should be checking Infinite Campus on Monday 8/25 for the most up to date grades for our students. This is the mid point of the quarter. Students will be given an Academic Recovery Plan (ARP) day this week In many of their classes to ensure students have a chance to make up any missign assignments. After next week, most assignments from the first part of the quarter will be locked. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity as needed.

8/18-

Infinite Campus is now up and teachers are able to enter grades. Please be patient as we all learn this new system together. If you are having issues seeing grades on your end AND the teacher has entered grades please reach out so we can assist as needed. Again, we appreciate everyone's patience as we enter the Infinite Campus era.

Picture day is 9/9. Pictures will be taken during Core 1 classes. More information to come in the next few weeks.

Athletics Interest Meeting: Please join us in our Athletics Interest Meeting on Monday August 18th. All families and student athletes are welcome to join. At this meeting, we will be going over all basic information regarding athletics for the 2025-2026 school year. This will be held in the DRMS Auditorium from 6:00-7:00pm

8/4-Thank you to all of our 8th graders for an amazing first week of school. We were beyond impressed with their cooperation, positive attitudes, and willingness to try new things. We are looking forward to a fabulous second week.
