Meet Coach Futrell

Coach Futrell is from the small town of Tar Heel NC. He has been teaching Health/Physical Education for 6 years. Coach Futrell attended East Carolina University and graduated in 2013. He started his teaching career at Tar Heel Middle School. After departing THMS, he went on to teach at Williams Township Middle School in Whiteville NC. Coach Futrell has been coaching football and basketball for the past 7 years. He started his coaching career at Ayden Grifton High School where he served on the Offensive staff as the QB coach.

On top of coaching and teaching, Coach Futrell enjoys spending time with his family. On the weekends, you can find him on the lake fishing or on the golf course!

Coach Futrell is entering his 5th year at Neuse River Middle School (previously known as East Wake Middle)
