HI! My name is Amanda Morris and I currently am a certified Health & P.E. teacher at Panther Creek High School within Wake County School System.
I am originally from Salisbury, N.C., graduated from East Rowan High School and East Carolina University. I recently graduated (May 2022) from Graduate School at East Carolina University with a Masters in Education - Physical Education. I lived in Greenville N.C. for 16 years but moved to Raleigh N.C. for my current teaching job.
Over the 13 years at North Pitt High School, I coached a variety of sports - Women's Volleyball, Basketball, & Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field, Men's Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field.
At East Wake High School, I served in the role of Assistant Volleyball Coach & Head Softball Coach and was a Health & PE teacher.
At Panther Creek, I served as the JV softball coach for 5 years. This past year, I served as the Assistant Athletic Director working with all sports here at PC and assisting Coach Doggett with Athletic Director duties. This is my eighth year at PC in the Healthful Living department.
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. Trips to the beach and river are two of my favorite things as well as watching anything sports related. My favorite drink is CHEERWINE (soda). I often dream of what it would be like to have a job with a professional team. I love being outdoors and being creative, painting is a hidden talent of mine.
