Clubs and Organization Mission Statement
At South Garner High School, we aim to build an inclusive community of clubs and organizations focused on student leadership, service, and academic excellence.
All Clubs and Organizations should align their mission/purpose with our vision statement
To start a new club at South Garner, please follow these guidelines:
Check Current Clubs: Review the list of existing clubs and organizations to ensure no similar club exists.
Demonstrate the Need for a New Club: Identify the purpose and goals of the club and explain why it is needed. Find at least 15 students who support the formation of this club and are willing to become members. Have each student sign the New Club Petition form
Find an Advisor (student-initiated clubs): The advisor must be a SGHS staff member.
Application Process: Advisors will submit all required paperwork below for review via The Club and Organization Application/Renewal form to include:
Important Notes:
Applications will be reviewed by SGHS administration, and you will be notified if your club is approved or denied; new clubs are not permitted to meet before receiving the approval notification.
GRADATION CORD INFORMATION
For non-Nationally Organized clubs to be approved to wear a cord at graduation, each senior must complete a service project(s) totaling 15 hours that benefits SGHS or the community and is aligned with the club/organization's mission. This service project MUST be approved by SGHS administration before beginning.
