Civic Literacy-
Founding principles of the USA & NC: developing understanding, establishing the American Republic, and basic concepts of American politics and citizenship. The purpose of this course is to help students develop an understanding of local, state, and federal governments so they can fully participate in their civic responsibilities and duties.
Mr. Head is a native of the North Carolina mountains. He graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a degree in History and Political Science. His primary interest in history is military history. His favorite era of history is World War II. Mr. Head also teaches Holocaust and Genocide Studies and Human Geography.
"Begin with the end in Mind"
Mr. Lee Grew up in Northern Michigan and graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. His favorite era of history is the turn of the Edo to Meiji period in Japan (Samurai Stuff). He has taught Civics, World History, US History, AP Gov and AP USH through his time teaching. He also coaches with the girls basketball program and is the advisor to the Best Buddies club at Wakefield.
