About Me

Claire Graham

Science education has never been more important. Understanding science connects us to the natural world. I passionately believe that science is inherently approachable and students should never feel like understanding it is something beyond their grasp.

Greetings! I am a former environmental scientist and have been a secondary science educator for 15 years. I'm very happy to have landed in Rolesville High School after relocating to North Carolina. My family includes: me, my husband Jancarlo, our two little boys, Archer, 10 and Ezra, 7, my cat named Eee, and three very evolved dinosaurs (chickens) named: Peckachu, T'Pau, and Kylo Hen. My husband is a Math teacher and Baseball coach for Wake Co. as well.

* My favorite activities are hiking and kickboxing, and watching my sons practice Taekwondo, or watching my husband coach baseball.

* I have experience teaching Biology, AP Biology, Environmental Science, AP Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Zoology, and Physical Science.

*I authored the new Forensic Science 2 course curriculum approved by Wake County, NC.

* I attended Louisiana State University for my undergraduate degree in Microbiology/Chemistry.

* In 2006 I earned a Masters degree in Health Studies from Southeastern Louisiana University.

* Star Trek > Star Wars to me, but this argument is ongoing in our household and I am woefully outnumbered.
