Ms. Couillard

Ms. Couillard believes that music connects everyone and loves getting to bring the joy of music to Bugg. She has a BA in Piano Performance with a K - 12 music education certification. Check out her fun-filled elective classes: Musical Time Travelers (4th & 5th ), Percussion Discussion (2nd & 3rd ), and Music Alive (K & 1st ).

Mr. Holley

Mr. Holley loves what he does and that's being able to give back to his community. Mr. Holley has been teaching for 5 years (3 at Bugg). Mr. Holley has a BA in Sports Science with a minor in Sports Management. Mr. Holley was also a former student assistant for the UNC-Pembroke men's basketball team. Mr. Holley loves to teach about physical education and to see kids working hard in achieving in the activities and goals he teaches.

Ms. McCollum

Ms. McCollum thrives on acquiring new skills and loves teaching digital learning to our students. She has a BS in Child Development with K - 6 certification, K - 12 Reading Specialist certification, and is pursuing a Masters in Learning Design and Technology. As the Instructional Technology Facilitator, she enjoys working closely with students, families, and staff assisting with their needs. Check out her fun-filled elective classes: To Mars (4th & 5th ), Digital Game Design (2nd & 3rd ), and Express Yourself (K & 1st ).

Mrs. Moon

Mrs. Moon loves tinkering, making, designing, building, coding, and creating and helping students do the same in the Innovation Lab! She has a BS in Technology, Engineering, and Design education from NC State University, where she is currently working on a STEM Education Masters Degree in Technology and Engineering Education. Mrs. Moon teaches electives and works as the Innovation Coach to help teachers integrate technology in their classrooms. She loves teaching Code the Capital City (4th & 5th), Code, Build, Create (2nd & 3rd), and Fractured Fairy Tales (K & 1st) at Bugg!

Mr. Neal

Mr. Neal loves to learn new skills and enjoys teaching art and visual design to our students. He is a graduate from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelors in Arts and Sciences. As the Art teacher, he enjoys working hands on with students, and allowing students to empathize with others, ideate new ideas and create amazing prototypes. Check out his amazing electives: Fashion with a Twist (4th & 5th ), Looks Good Enough to Eat(2nd & 3rd ), and Mask Exploration (K & 1st ).

Ms. Oliver

Mrs. Oliver is a certified K-6 teacher who loves all things crafting and teaching elementary school age scholars. She has a Bachelors in Child Development from Claflin University and a Masters in Elementary Reading from Walden University. As the Project Lead the Way teacher, Mrs. Oliver gets to teach project based coding through unplugged and plugged activities to scholars in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

Mr. Rutheny

Mr. Rutheny enjoys learning new things, especially when it involves science or creativity. He is very excited when he can use new knowledge to make fun and engaging computational thinking lessons for his students. He has a MAT degree from NC State and is certified to teach K-5 and 6-8 ELA. As the Coding Connections teacher, he enjoys working with students to help them learn new coding and computational thinking skills. Along with teaching Coding as a specials class, he also teaches some exciting Electives. These are Time Travel Writers (4th & 5th), Battle of the Bots (2nd & 3rd) and Robot Games (K & 1st).

Mrs. Winemiller

Mrs. Winemiller is a fan of all types of reading, including the reading you're doing right now on our Specialists website! She has a BA in History from Clemson University and a Masters of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She values helping students and families find great books and information to share together, whether it comes in the form of a book or an internet search.
