Mission
In alignment with the school's mission statement,
"Barton Pond Elementary School challenges students and staff to grow in a loving environment centered on community and collaboration",
the mission of Barton Pond Elementary’s School Counseling Department is to provide an equitable and accessible learning environment for all students that is inviting, flexible, inclusive, and supportive of each student’s needs. This data-driven program builds a sense of belonging in the school community, teaches effective social and regulatory skills, and graduates college and career ready students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators and critical thinkers.
Vision
All Barton Pond Elementary School students are prepared to reach their full potential by utilizing healthy coping skills and successful academic strategies to graduate from high school and pursue postsecondary opportunities. All students engage with their world as empathetic, collaborative citizens who contribute positively to their diverse communities. All students navigate the complexities of a changing world while recognizing their own self-worth and potential.
