Our Bullfrogs are going to have a great time this year during PE as we gain skills in the 4 areas of study for PE:
Motor Skills
Movement Concepts
Health-Related Fitness
Personal & Social Responsibility
So that your child can fully participate safely, please make sure they wear (or bring) sneakers and a reclosable water bottle on PE days. Only plain water in a sealable bottle is permitted inside the gym.

If you have questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to PE Specialist Kathy Livengood at klivengood@wcpss.net.
Students' behavior is reinforced positively during PE through praise, verbal reinforcement, lily pads, LEAP tickets, and recognition as a LEAP Leader.
When students' behavior, however, is (1) distracting to the teacher or other students; (2) disturbing other students; (3) dangerous to themselves or others; and/or (4) disengaged (refusing to participate), they may earn a strike. If a student earns two or more strikes in a class period (45 mins), they will have to sit out for a period of time and their adults will be notified. It is not typical for students to earn multiple strikes in a period.
