Blogger is a Google product. You can access Blogger for free. Our school district has approved Blogger for teacher and student use. Here are a few sample websites and blogs made with Blogger.

As with all online platforms and programs, there are usually some good points and some bad points. If you’re in a rush and just need a quick summary, here are some of the things we love about Blogger, and a few areas that could do with some work.

Pros

• Easy to use and get started

• Completely free

• All you need is a Google account

• Themes and templates to personalize your blog

Cons

• Can only really be used for a basic blog (unless you can code)

• If you want your own domain name, you’ll need to buy one

• Google may not support the platform long-term

• Limited to 100 blogs per account

Create a blog

1. Sign in to Blogger.

2. On the left, click the Down arrow .

3. Click New blog.

4. Enter a name for your blog.

5. Click Next.

6. Choose a blog address or URL.

7. Click Save.

Note: Make sure you comply with the Blogger Content Policy and Terms of Service.

Manage your blog

• You can manage who can edit and read your blog. Learn how to control access to your blog.

• You can choose how you want your blog to look. Learn how to change the design of your blog.
