Info for New Members

We are now recruiting current 7th graders for the 2021-2022 school year. If interested, please either stop by Student Services to pick up an application or email Ms. Holstein at aholstein@wcpss.net for an electronic application.

Bengal Pride Ambassadors will be selected according to the following requirements:

• Completed Application

  • Prospective members must submit a completed application by May 14, 2021

• Grades

  • Ambassadors must currently have and maintain a "C" or above average in each class. Ambassadors are encouraged to notify Ms. Holstein if they are struggling a class so resources and assistance can be provided.

• Leadership

  • Ambassadors must be willing and able to demonstrate positive leadership traits in school and in the community AT ALL TIMES.

• School Disciplinary Issues

  • Ambassadors must have a good disciplinary record to include NO Out of School Suspensions (OSS) and no more than one (1) In School Suspension (ISS). Receiving OSS or exceeding the ISS limit result in immediate dismissal from the program for the remainder of the school year. Disciplinary referrals and excessive lunch detentions may result in temporary probation or immediate suspension of membership for the remainder of the school year. Each incident will be considered on a case-by-case basis and consequences will depend mainly upon the type of misconduct (tardiness, disrespectful behaviors toward a teacher or peer).
