Camp Letter-
Band Camp Information
Hello Parents, Guardians and Students:
Welcome to the 2025 Marching season. Hopefully this will answer any questions you are going to have concerning summer band and camp.
Camp Fundamentals
1. Be early so that rehearsal can start at 8. I promise to respect your time by releasing the students at release time as well. We start at 8, not arrive at 8. Please help your student to be early so that we may start on time.
2. Wear light colored clothing, sneakers and preferably shorts. Deodorant is a plus as well.
3. Hydrate- Bring a water bottle.
4. Eat a dry breakfast. No greasy foods or milk.
Camp Needs:
1. We need bottled water. We ask everyone to donate one case of water for the year.
2. We need parents during the August 12-16 time in the morning who can be there to monitor students while we are working on the field. Please email Mr. McCoy if you would like to help.
3. I have one tent to put up outside but would like another one. If you can help, let Mr. McCoy know.
Thanks for all you do to support your student. It is going to be a great year and I am excited for our students. Keep encouraging them to work and practice as we prepare for you and audiences across North Carolina:

We are in need of parents/guardians for the 2024 season. We cannot do Marching Band without you. We cannot do any band without you, but especially marching band. We are in need of the following:
Fundraiser chairperson and a committee- The Chairperson would be the band liaison for the arts boosters and would run all band fundraisers. This person would count the money and get it in the black box to be put in the bank. There are only 3 separate fundraisers for the band plus collecting monies for personal items that students must purchase. The committee would work with the chairperson and band members to help facilitate any band fundraisers.
Chaperone chairperson and a committee- The Chairperson would be in contact with Mr. McCoy and help to arrange for any chaperones needed for events. We are required to have 4 per bus when we travel on a bus. The committee would assist in the chaperone responsibilities and helping with locate chaperones.
Equipment chairperson and a committee- The Chairperson would be in contact with Mr. McCoy and help with equipment moving to various events we participate in. That person would be responsible for securing the u-haul truck and getting a driver or driving it. They and the committee would also help the students with loading and unloading the equipment.
Uniform chairperson and committee- The Chairperson would be in contact with Mr. McCoy and along with the committee help to get uniforms assigned to the students. They would be responsible for getting them to and from the students before and after events. They would also look after the uniforms to see about cleaning, mending and other clothing issues.
