A little about Mrs. O'Hanlon:

I am very honored to be the Media Specialist for Ballentine since 2003. I have met so many great families through the years and many have become friends. I was a classroom teacher at Northwoods Elem. in Cary, NC from 1997-2002 and then transferred to Ballentine as a 4th grade teacher for the first year. I am one of the original staff members who opened this school. After that year, I became the Media Specialist through lateral entry. I received my Masters in Library Science from ECU in May of 2007.

I am married to my high school sweetheart Darren who also works for WCPSS and have one daughter Claire. She is a student at Holly Springs High School and keeps me hopping with her many activities.

I am a proud member of the FLL SteamBoosters at Ballentine and I coach and mentor teams. I help with FLLjr and FLL especially the project portion with my experience with research and collaboration. This has been a very a very rewarding adventure which led being named the 2019 North Carolina FLL Coach of the Year.
