Welcome! My name is Mrs. Mercer and I'm so excited to be your ELA and Social Studies teacher this year! I studied at N.C. State and majored in Middle Grades Education: Language Arts & Social Studies Concentration. This is my first year at Alston Ridge Middle and my 11th year teaching middle school!

When I'm not busy teaching or coaching, I enjoy going to Topsail Beach with my family, attending Wolfpack games - GO PACK, spending time with friends, being active and cooking! I live in North Raleigh with my husband, my (almost) two year old Clark, and my dog, Pippa!

Hello Warriors! My name is Amanda Neuerburg and I am super excited to be your 7th grade, track 2 Science and Math teacher this year! I attended the University of Northern Colorado where I earned my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English. However, life had other plans and lead me to Middle School. I have been teaching Middle School Math for the last 10 years with this being my third year at Alston Ridge Middle School!

I'm originally from Colorado which is where my love for being outdoors started. On weekends I am usually hiking, going to the beach, hanging by the pool, or exploring local parks with my family. I currently live in Holly Springs with my husband, my two daughters Zoey(6) and Paige(4), and our cats.
