Video introduction of myself

Hi, my name is Chris Starrett and this is my 22nd year teaching.  I'm originally from NY where I taught for 6 years. Then I moved to Wilmington, NC to live by the beach and I continued my teaching career as classroom teacher for another 8 years.  I loved learning so much I went back to school and I got two Master's degree and became a National Board Certified Teacher.  My true passion in school is teaching science so I became the Science Specialist at Alston Ridge Elementary 8 years ago.   I love science because it's okay to make mistakes and and ask questions.   I also love to teach students how to become independent thinkers and challenge themselves to discover new things.  In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors with my family, running, listening to music and traveling all around the world.
