Pre-K Class Schedule
8:45- 9:25 Arrival/Bathroom/Interest Areas/Question of the Day Board
Children will participate in various centers to engage in “free choice” play (Art, Math, Blocks, Writing, Puzzles, and Reading).
9:30 - 9:45 Morning Meeting
Students will gather together on the carpet, sing a variety of songs, discuss the Weather, identify who's missing and discuss our day.
9:45 - 10:00 Snack
10:15-10:30 Outside (gross and fine motor play)
Students will engage with a variety of gross motor activities which includes riding bikes, running, etc. Students will have access to the playground equipment
10:35-10:50- Story Time and Reading Response Activity
Children will engage in read alouds and new activities for centers are demonstrated at this time.
10:50-11:45 Interest Areas/Small Groups
Students will engage in a variety of centers including developing Social Emotional skills amongst their peers. Teacher directed small groups that will focus on Math and Literacy Skills.
11:50-12:20- Lunch
Lunch in the classroom with the Teachers sitting at their assigned area. After students finish eating and washing their hands, they will transition outside.
12:20- 12:50 Outside (gross and fine motor skills)
Students will engage with a variety of gross motor activities which includes riding bikes, running, etc. Students will have access to the playground equipment
12:50-1:50 Bathroom, Rest Time and Quiet Activities
Children are expected to sit quietly and rest. Quiet activities such as books will be available to children who do not sleep.
1:50-2:50- PM Snack/Centers
Students will eat their PM Snack and will participate in various centers to engage in “free choice” play (Art, Math, Blocks, Writing, and Reading).
2:50 - 3:00 End of Day Round Up
Students will gather on the carpet, discuss the Question of the Day for the next day, participate in a Literacy or Math Activity and prepare for Dismissal.
3:00 - 3:15 - Car Riders/Bus/Van/Walkers dismissal

8:45 - 9:30 Arrival/Snack/Interest Areas
Students will complete the morning routine as they arrive (wash hands, put away belongings, morning bin work). Students will eat their morning snack. After students finish their snacks, they are able to choose an area of interest to play in.
9:35 - 9:50 Morning Meeting
Students will sing the good morning song, review daily responsibilities, and review the question of the day.
9:55 - 10:35 Small Groups/Interest Areas
Students will participate in rotational Math and Literacy Activities, Creative Journals, and teacher-guided group activities connected to unit study. Interest areas are open during this time for students not participating in Small Groups.
10:40 - 11:10 Outdoor Gross Motor Skills
Various gross motor activities are set up around the playground to practice and develop various gross motor skills. Students can also play on the equipment and in the sandbox daily.
11:15 - 11:45 Small Groups/Interest Areas
Students will participate in rotational Math and Literacy Activities, Creative Journals, and teacher-guided group activities connected to unit study. Interest areas are open during this time for students not participating in Small Groups.
11:50 - 12:00 Read Aloud
Students will engage in a read-aloud with the teacher and respond to connecting questions related to the story.
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch
Students and teachers will eat lunch together in the classroom. Students will practice table etiquette and social skills.
12:30 - 12:40 Clean-up/Bathroom
12:45 - 12:55 Special Activities/ Music & Movement/ LetterLand
Students will engage in various songs, chants, rhymes, and movements that encourage meaningful learning opportunities.
Students will learn about LetterLand characters and corresponding sounds.
1:00 - 2:00 Rest
All students will rest quietly on their assigned cots. Students who are not sleeping will work on a quiet activity at their cot.
2:00 - 2:25 Afternoon Snack
After rest, students will use the bathroom and wash their hands. They will then eat their afternoon snack.
2:30 - 3:00 Outside
Various gross motor activities are set up around the playground to practice and develop various gross motor skills. Students can also play on the equipment and in the sandbox daily.
3:05 - 3:15 Large Group Round-up/ Reflections/ PreK Dismissal
Students will reflect on the day and discuss upcoming events in preparation for the next day.
3:30-4:15 Bus/Cab dismissal
