I am excited to be the AIG/Enrichment teacher at Jeffreys Grove Elementary (100%)! It is great to be back to a new school year!
My Background: Both my parents are from Egypt and my step mother is from Venezuela. I was born in Pennsylvania and have lived both in the US and overseas. I am tri-lingual in English, Arabic, and Spanish.
Education: I graduated from Washington State University in 1996 with a degree in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology and Spanish. I went to graduate school to get my Master's in Teaching in 2001, and have been teaching ever since. I am certified to teach K-6, K-12 Spanish, K-12 Reading Specialist, and AIG. I am National Board Certified. I am on my 24th year of teaching, 9th year of teaching AIG.
My husband and I moved to NC in 2006 from WA. I have 2 sons Zakariya (Ziko) who is 21 years old and a senior at Washington State University, and Bassil who is 17 and is a senior at Enloe High School.
I love to travel all over the world and experience new things, go camping, boating, read, and play games with my family and friends. I look forward to an amazing year!
