All about me

My name is Suzanne Butler and I am so excited to be working at Willow Springs Elementary! I have been teaching for 27 short years. I've taught third- grade, math, and reading enrichment to K-3 students, and AIG to 4-5 students. I graduated from the State University of New York College at Fredonia with my K-6 teaching certification. I later earned my AIG certification, master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from NOVA Southeastern University, and became a National Board Certified teacher. I enjoy building strong relationships with children because I truly care about their success and well-being, and I believe building trust is the way to get there.

I am originally from Buffalo, New York, and my husband is from New Hampshire but we both love it here in North Carolina (where the weather is much nicer). We have a son named Collin who will be starting his senior at Elon University. We enjoy spending time as a family, watching movies, skiing, reading, vacationing at the beach, and traveling.

I am looking forward to challenging the students at Willow Springs Elementary to be the best they can be while having fun along the way!
