I am excited to be a part of the Parkside Elementary School community. I have been teaching in Wake County for about eight years, but my journey in education now spans a total of 12 years.
I've always wanted to be a teacher!
Teaching has always been my dream. I remember being in 3rd grade, telling everyone who would listen that I wanted to be just like my third grade teacher. Just imagine me, gathering all of my dolls and pretending they were my students...
Today, I am proud to be an educator, and I owe much of my journey to the wonderful Fayetteville State University, which helped turn that childhood dream into reality...
GO BRONCOS.
Yay, I did it!
I began my teaching career in Cumberland County Schools but decided to explore new opportunities and venture out into the Wake County Public Schools. I am proud to have been a Horton’s Creek Hawk and now, thrilled to be a Parkside Sandpiper...
My goal as an educator is simple...
I want to teach our children HOW to think, not WHAT to think (Margaret Mead)
and show them where to LOOK but not what to SEE (Alexandra K. Trenfor).
Most importantly, I take great pride in building meaningful relationships with my students and their families and with this mindset, I am genuinely excited and looking forward to an AMAZING 2025–26 school year!
