Applying to Our Academy

Before Applying to the Academy:

Any Wake County family can apply to our Academy. Acceptance is based on a weighted priority lottery selection process. All applications to any WCPSS magnet school is processed by the district.

  • Determine your magnet priority

  • Determine your base school

  • Determine if you have transportation to East Millbrook. Use the address look up tool to establish what your application schools are. Then, look beside each school name and you will see either parent provides, express busing or neighborhood busing

  • To apply you must have a WCPSS student ID

  • For families outside of WCPSS you must register at your base school before you can fill out your application. Registering at your base school does not enroll your student in WCPSS, it merely gives you an ID number so the district may process your application
