Welcome to 8th Grade Science!

This year we will cover a variety of topics, including: 

1. Chemistry classifying matter, atoms/elements/compounds, periodic table & chemical equations and reactions

2. Hydrology (properties of water, freshwater, saltwater, water quality)

3. Earth Science (alternative energy sources, ecology, evolution & natural selection, geologic time)

4. Microbiology (pathogens, diseases, photosynthesis vs. respiration)

What to bring to class every day:

• Science Notebook (5-subject dedicated notebook for science only)

• Writing Utensils and Highlighters

• Tape or Glue

• Coloring utensils
