High School Registration

The Millbrook High School Digital Media Career Academy (DMCA) is now accepting for 2020-2021:

Dear Rising High School Freshman and Sophomore Parent(s),

We hope you are getting excited for the transition from middle school to high school in a few short months. Soon you will be stepping through the doors of Millbrook High as the newest Wildcat! Don’t get us wrong, Millbrook can be a big place. However, we wanted to reach out to you beforehand and help make you aware of a program that you might consider.

Founded in 2014, the Millbrook Digital Media Career Academy strives to take a high school of 2400+ students and make it feel smaller. Within the smaller environment of the Career Academy you’ll experience an array of supports to make your high school journey more fulfilling. These supports include:

  1. Smaller Class Sizes
  2. A Cohort of Common Peers
  3. Multiple field trips at each grade level
  4. A curriculum focused on project based learning
  5. Hands on activities as part of interpersonal development
  6. Soft skills workshops not available to the general
  7. Millbrook population
  8. Annual opportunities to Showcase your work to the general public
  9. Guaranteed participation in an Internship outside of Millbrook during the Senior Year
  10. Access to industry credential exams in
  11. Adobe programs for FREE

These cohorts take two classes together each year with other Academy students. This helps to create a collaborative learning environment as well as friendships with students who are going through the same events as you at the same time. Simply put the Academy creates a “family” approach to high school.

While the Academy is a four year program, participation does not exclude you from other programs at Millbrook (Band, Sports, etc). Many students participate in multiple programs each year. In addition, graduates from the Academy go on to enroll in two or four year colleges, join the armed forces, or enter the workforce.
