Hi! I am Mrs. Smith and I teach 6th grade Social Studies on Track 1. I graduated from NC State University in 2003 with a degree in Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Studies education. I have been teaching at Holly Grove Middle School since it opened and absolutely love working here!
I am happily married to Chad Smith who is the Science teacher on 8-1. We have 3 wonderful children, Allie, Ryan and Kristin. It is so much fun to watch them grow up!
One of my favorite things to do in my free time is read. My favorite book series of all time is still Harry Potter! Every year, I read 40 books along with the students and I love helping them find a book that is just right for them! In my free time, I also enjoy playing volleyball and watching football. My favorite food is sushi and I have a weakness for coffee and Dr. Pepper. I also love Reese's Cups and Swedish Fish! I am looking forward to finding out more about your kids this year and helping to make 6th grade their best year yet!
