Welcome to 5th Grade Track 3 at PUES! I am looking forward to a great school year and getting to know all of my students. Here is a little bit about myself.
I was born and raised in New Jersey and taught middle school social studies for several years. My family and I moved to North Carolina in 2014. We also briefly lived in Germany from 2019-2020, and I can speak a little German! I live with my husband, 3 children, and our cat, Maschsee (loosely pronounced Ma-she). In my spare time, I love to spend time with my kids (especially going to the pool), cook, decorate my house, and run.
A Few of My Favorite Things:
Colors: Teal blue and golden yellow
Book: Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott
Movie genre: Action/suspense
Way to relax: Watching TV or doing logic puzzles
Food: anything Italian!
Candy: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Season: Spring
Holiday: Thanksgiving
Vacation: Mediterranean cruise
Sports Team: It's a toss-up between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers!
Here is our cat, Maschee. She's very silly and loves to cuddle!
Fun Facts...
I have run several marathons, including Philadelphia (2011), Boston (2013), and New York (2014 & 2015).Â
If I was not a teacher, I would want to be a TV actress.
One of the coolest experiences I have ever had is holding a bald eagle on my arm.
In addition to speaking a little German, I can also speak some Italian and French. I used to be almost fluent in French, and my goal is to re-learn it someday.
My husband and I plan to retire to Greece one day, but that will be many years from now!
