Mrs. Shaw

Welcome! I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I have been a teacher at Cary Elementary for the last 22 years. I graduated from Meredith College, got married to Mr. Shaw and we have lived in the Cary area for the last 21 years. I have two wonderful children. Madeleine is 13 and Preston is 9. Madeleine is now in middle school, but Preston is in 4th grade at CES. I love to read and travel. This past summer I went to Lake Gaston, Cherry Grove, South Carolina and we spent a lot of time at the pool. I love to exercise outdoors and do yoga when I have time. I have a dog named Uncle Buck, and 1 NC State Fair fish. I love teaching and I love the fourth grade. We are going to read so many great texts this year and I am going to help you learn how to love reading more than you do already.

Mrs. Kosarich and I will be pairing to provide the full curriculum to our 4th graders. We are not only excited to be working together, but we are excited to embark upon this journey with your children. We look forward to getting to know your families and hope this website serves as an additional means of communication regarding assignments, projects, and current events.
