I’m delighted to start my third year as a DDE third grade teacher. It’s an honor to be part of our amazing school community. I have been working in education for 10 years. I started as a substitute teacher in South Dakota. In 2017 due to my husband's work, my family moved to Florida where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade. In 2021 we moved to North Carolina, and I started teaching at DDE.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Dakota State University and a Reading Endorsement from Pasco County School District. I have a daughter that is a freshman in college. I’m passionate about helping all children reach their potential and I love to challenge students to be curious and take chances when learning.

Hello! I am excited to continue to serve at DDE this year as a member of the third grade team. I began my teaching career in 1997 after graduating from San Diego State University. I have taught grades 2-5, but third grade is my hands down favorite.
After moving to NC, I taught second and third grade at Hilburn Academy (here in WCPSS) for seven years. In 2015, I began serving as National Faculty with PBLWorks, facilitating workshops across the country focused on Project Based Learning (primarily during the summer). I am skilled in Project Based Learning, Inquiry, STEM, and arts integration. If you visit my classroom, you will see that I love books and getting students excited about reading.
Hello! This is my fourth year in education, and my second year teaching 3rd grade! I previously taught 6th-grade Social Studies and Math. I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, and attended Appalachian State University for both undergrad and graduate programs.
I have a true passion for working with young learners and watching them grow. I strive every day to create a classroom community where every student knows they belong.
Hello! I am so excited to be starting my third year teaching third grade at Davis Drive Elementary! I was born in Florida but moved to North Carolina when I was five years old, so this is where I call home. I attended Wake County schools from elementary school to high school. I graduated from William Peace University with a dual licensure in Elementary Education and Special Education. I have a true passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow in every way possible. I aim to create a caring and nurturing environment that promotes growth in a fun and positive way.
I am married to my husband Matthew, and we are expecting our first child in November! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, baking and cooking, trying new restaurants, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers win football games. I am excited for a wonderful school year!
Hi there! My name is Ms. Stacy and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade this year at Davis Drive Elementary! This will be my first year teaching, but I was a substitute teacher last year! I was born and raised right here in Cary, and attended DDE as a student until I was in third grade, so it’s really special to be able to come back to Davis Drive but as a teacher this time! I earned my undergraduate degree from NC State (Go Pack!) When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, hiking and traveling!
