I come from a Navy family (Go Navy! Beat Army!) and spent most of my life moving from place to place. In fact, I never attended the same school for more than a year until I got to high school! When asked my hometown, I will usually just say Annapolis, MD as that is where I spent the longest amount of time. I attended both Meredith College where I majored in early childhood education and Mount Olive College where I received my B-K as well as my K-6 licensure. I now live in Wake Forest with my husband and high school sweetheart, Matt and my three awesome children Gavin (19), Megan (15), and Jacob (6). Prior to teaching in the public school, I was a director at a private preschool. I have been at Forest Pines Elementary since 2014 and absolutely love my job! My favorite part of teaching is developing relationships with each of the students and watching them get excited about learning. I really enjoy laughing with the students and want them to see that learning can be fun! In my time outside of school I enjoy surfing Pinterest for new ideas, cruising to new places with my family, spending time with my friends, eating a yummy Cinnabon and sipping on Chick Fil A lemonade!Â
